After a rain delay from the previous week, the RCMTRA returns to Barnstormers RC Raceway in Chester, NY for the annual THUNDER SERIES NATIONALS. 12 of the biggest and baddest monster trucks roared into town ready to do battle on a great racing coruse that provided high speed close racing all day. The day started out with a bang for the DRCR team, as Dan DeFalco and Brutus emerged as a serious threat after defeating Kyle DeFalco and the CPE Black Smith in the round one final. Brutus and Black Smith would meet again in the round 2 final with the same result, after black smith knocked a turrn cone and forfitted the win. Round three saw Anthony Luciano's RCMTRA racer against Brutus once again, Dan this time nailed the first turn cone and would DQ himself out of contention. Rounds 4 and 5 saw Brutus DQ in the first rounds, ending his bid for a weekend win and with Black Smith having axle tube problems, the door was open for RCMTRA race to capitalize. Grave Digger suffered a ripped left front tire after a hard landing send the screw from the tie rod through half the bottom of the tire. Digger bounced back to finish third in the event, and Kyle DeFalco brought home second place points. Anthony Luciano was able to hold off the DRCR team and there great record at this track to grab the event win. Check out some of today's racing action.
